I take my 80+ years old dad to physical therapy three times a week. I was thirsty and decided to stop at Burger King to buy one of those new Fanta Orange frozen drinks. I got my dad one too because I know that they work him over in therapy.
We were on our way home enjoying our drinks when I heard slurpp… I thought oh he enjoyed his frozen drink. Then I heard slurpp, slurppppp. I thought damn he really liked it. Then another slurp, slurp, slurp, slurp. (Now I am thinking damnit, stop it)! If the roles were reversed when I was younger he would have yelled at me to stop making that sound. Then several smaller slurp, slurp, slurp noises came again. I said dad I think it’s gone now. He said no I think its a little bit more left. Let me tell you all this I wanted to pull over my damn car and let his a#$ walk with his walker home. Just when I was finishing thinking about putting his *&! out my car I heard it again. S L U R PPPPPPP OH HELL NAW!!!
I asked dad if he wanted me to get another drink? (like hint, hint) He said no that’s ok. It’s a good thing because I didn’t want to hear that sound again. Now I know why 7-Eleven calls it Slurpees.
