It all started with the peach cobbler

I was enjoying spending time with one of my favorite cousins in the big city. (Detriot) My cousin and I appreciate good food so whenever we are together you can believe some food is in our midst. My cousin suggested a soul food restaurant to patronized. The food was delicious and we had a discussion about our grandmother’s peach cobbler. We agreed that our grandmother’s Lizzie cooked the best peach cobbler we had ever eaten. We then noticed that the restaurant listed peach cobbler on it’s desert section of the menu. My cousin suggested that I order some and I told her no way was I going to order it. We asked if we could have a sample to see if we liked it. We sampled the peach cobbler and ordered it to go. (The cobbler sample was tasty but not like our grandma’s cobbler). I ordered some for the road.

After we finished eating at the restaurant we went to pick up my car from my cousin’s house. My immediate plans were to meet some high school friends who were visiting for the holidays. Weeellll, I put the peach cobbler on the seat and I had forgotten that the peach cobbler was on the seat and I placed my blouse that I was going to wear later on the seat too. Welllll, the peach cobbler juice got on my blouse and I had to borrow a blouse from my cousin to wear to my gathering. This is where the story gets interesting.

I was running a little behind schedule to get to my friends gathering. There was an accident and I must have sped past the accident because all I know was the police lights were flashing and I pulled over to let him by. Was this &^%$#@ pulling me over?? I pulled into a business parking lot and yes he was after me! What the…. did I do? So he came to my window and I asked Why the (beep) your *&^ pulling me over? (Ok that was what I was thinking) I was told by Mr Police Officer that I was going 50 mph in a 40 mph zone. I never speed but I didn’t know the speed limit in that area (which is a main street and traffic is always passing me) I texted my cousin because she is police officer and I thought she could get me out to this and besides he pulled me over for driving while black. (stick with me) He didn’t put any points on me because I had a fairly good driving record, my respond was no Mother*&^%# this is my first ticket in 33 years of driving so my record is clean. (ok, again in my head I was thinking this) I was thinking any second my cousin is going to get here and get me out of this. She got there but he already left and this ticket was going to cost me $180.00. SERIOUSLY????!!!

When it was time to check on when I needed to pay this ticket I realize that he put down that my race was WHITE, so I can’t claim he pulled me over while driving black. But he also said my weight was 130 lbs. God Bless Him! The moral of this story is……. DON’T BUY THE PEACH COBBLER, if it wasn’t for the cobbler, 1. I wouldn’t have messed up my blouse 2. I wouldn’t had to eat it at my cousin’s house 3. It made me run late for my friends which cause me to speed.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Plus it wasn’t as good as my grandmother’s peach cobbler anyway.

  1. πŸ˜±πŸ˜…πŸ€‘Find out if you can get off on a technicality. You are not white, well … even if you look like you might be, it’s incorrect & not on your driver’s license.
