Yard Sale Blues

Today is the start of our yard sale. I love shopping at yard sales. I understand everyone is looking for a bargain. So I get it. Butttttt…. don’t try to rip us off.

My friend had a practically new Taylor food scale for $5, it cost about $25 up originally. This lady wanted to only pay $3 for it. She had enough nerves to say she saw one at the DOLLAR TREE STORE. I know damn well she didn’t see this scale at the dollar store. I wanted to tell her then she need to take her (beep) back to the dollar store and purchase it.

This same lady wanted to purchase another friend’s “real” wood standing armoire jewelry in good condition except the mirror inside was cracked on the end. My friend had it priced at $10 and she wanted a deal on that too. This item start at $100.00 Now let me go on record and say I can’t stand over priced yard sales but our items are priced low to sale. We aren’t saying we won’t negotiate because we will. We just don’t like when people try to act like we don’t know how to compare apples to apples.

One last thing, one customer asked me if the purse was an authentic Coach purse. My comment to her was this friend wouldn’t be caught dead with a knock off. In order to satisfy the customer I asked my friend. I said “hey friend is this a real Coach purse’? My friend looked at me like how dare you even ask me something stupid like that. I looked at the customer and said I told you, now I am in trouble for even doubting she would have anything less than the “real” thing.
I sure hope that this sale is a success because non of these items are allowed back into my house. The next stop from there is Charity.
